Bankers Pack Legislative Kickoff Events

A huge crowd of bankers took part in our annual Economic and Legislative Forum and Legislative Reception Wednesday. During the forum, we were honored to have several key members of the state government visit with members. Attorney General Chris Carr shared his focus on enforcing state laws in a manner that maintains and strengthens Georgia’s position as a great state for business. “Business is not the adversary,” he said. He also mentioned his department’s responsibility to root out fraud and ensure consumer protection, noting GBA’s work with his office to develop military consumer protection resources. Ops/Tech Conference & Pre-Conference Sessions, March 14-16

Making Technology Decisions Easier by Focusing on the Customer Experience

According to Jaime Dominguez, director of strategy, retail banking & channels, Bank Solutions at Fiserv, it may be tempting to start by focusing on technology capabilities, but it is actually smarter to start with the customer experience. Dominguez will kick off GBA’s 2017 Operations and Technology Conference March 15-16 by explaining why banks should first ask what type of experience will satisfy their customers and differentiate their bank in the market. Be sure that someone from your Operations and IT teams attend this conference. We will again offer pre-conference sessions March 14-15, and the traditional conference will be March 15-16. Attendees may participate in the pre-conference sessions as an independent event or as an add-on to the traditional conference.
