Understanding Bank Performance - Virtual Program Begins Jan. 10
Whether your organization is full of seasoned professionals or has a new group of bankers, understanding how the bank makes decisions is vital for every position. We’ve got a new offering that can help. We’ve partnered with our peers at other state associations to bring you a program from the Washington Bankers Association titled Virtual Understanding Bank Performance. Designed to help bankers of all levels understand bank performance, students will:
  • Learn to assess and analyze a bank’s financial performance using real data
  • Become familiar with balance sheets and income statements
  • Learn how to apply key performance metrics to data in those documents
  • Put skills to work with by concluding with a proforma capstone exercise evaluating Silicon Valley Bank.
Who should participate: Newer employees who need to get up to speed on how the banking industry works and experienced individuals wanting to further their careers.

Breaking into Banking 201 – Analyzing Repayment Sources Webinar - March 27, 2024, Zoom
This 9-module online course is a “sequel” to the 101 course and is best taken after completion of that course, though it is not a prerequisite. The 201 course includes a case study and dives deeper into topics covered in modules 4, 6, and 8 of the 101 course: analyzing a borrower’s balance sheet, income statement, collateral, and risk ratings. For more than 60 years, the school has developed generations of Georgia bank leaders who shape the industry in our state. It offers everything you want and expect from an investment in banker education, specifically preparing the next generation of bank leaders, building the pool of management-level talent in your bank, and connecting students to the most knowledgeable industry experts and a community of fellow bankers.
